The Prayer for Protection*

The light of God surrounds me;
The love of God enfolds me;
The power of God protects me;
The presence of God watches over me.
Wherever I am, God is!

“Beloved, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours.” – Mark 11:24

Unity is a worldwide movement founded on the healing power of prayer.

It was through prayer that our co-founders, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, received significant and seemingly miraculous healings. Prayer always has been central to Unity and to our ministry at Unity Church of Jacksonville.

We are committed to reaching out in prayer, comfort and support to our congregation and community. If you need or want prayer support, please:

  • phone our office at 904-355-5100 to request prayer
  • phone the Good Word Prayer Line at 904-357-0469
  • place a written prayer request for yourself or others in our prayer chest at the church.
  • complete a confidential online prayer request now.

Want someone to pray with you right now?

You can reach Silent Unity, our movement’s worldwide prayer ministry, any time of the night or day by calling 1-800-669-7729. Every request to Silent Unity also is kept confidential and receives loving, compassionate attention.

Our Prayer Chaplain Ministry

Through our Prayer Chaplain Ministry, our chaplains serve the prayer needs of the community by holding a sacred spiritual space, lovingly listening, praying from the heart, and holding in confidence what is shared. Our Prayer Chaplains are available to pray with you after each Sunday Service.

Weekly Prayer & Meditation Service

Prayer Power meets in our Prayer Chapel every Tuesday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. We pray silently and aloud, affirmatively and thankfully to Spirit for answered prayer. We pray for each request placed in our prayer chest. Through our prayer, we lift up the world in a prayerful consciousness. Please join us!

The Prayer of Faith

by Hannah More Kohaus

God is my help in every need;
God does my every hunger feed;
God walks beside me, guides my way
Through every moment of this day.

I now am wise, I now am true,
Patient and kind, and loving, too;
All things I am, can do, and be,
Through Christ the Truth, that is in me.

God is my health, I can’t be sick;
God is my strength, unfailing, quick;
God is my all, I know no fear,
Since God and Love and Truth are here.

*The Prayer for Protection was written by the late James Dillet Freeman, poet laureate of the Unity movement and director of Silent Unity, Unity’s worldwide prayer ministry.
